Ellie Avishai

Ellie Avishai

The Mill Center

Avishai is a strategist, teacher, and non-profit leader who has worked in education for more than 20 years. She has consulted with school districts across the United States and Canada, with a focus on leadership development and building innovative practices. Ellie founded I-Think Initiative at the Rotman School of Management, which teaches real-world problem-solving to students, teachers, and education leaders. She is a co-founder of The Mill Center, which builds communities and promotes productive dialogue.

Linda Frum

Former member of Senate of Canada

Frum was born in Toronto, Ontario. She is an author and journalist, and was a Conservative member of the Senate of Canada from 2009 until 2021. She has authored two books and edited a third. Frum is a former contributing editor to Maclean’s, and was a columnist with the National Post and winner of the Gemini Award for Best Social-Political Documentary Program.

Kay was born in Montreal, Quebec to an anglophone Jewish family who now lives in Toronto. He is a Quillette editor, podcaster, and advisor to The Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism. His books include Among the Truthers, Legacy, Panics & Persecutions, and Magic in the Dark. In 1998, Kay was the founding member of the National Post editorial board.

Dr.  Shufutinsky is the Director of Education and Community Engagement for JILV and an ex officio board member. She has worked towards advancing the rights of victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through practice, education, and research and is now focusing her advocacy on developing intercultural and academic opportunities to enhance liberal democratic ideals.
